Before creating my contents page, I drew a sketch draft in order to plan what I wanted it to look like. The title of the page and magazine title/logo will be situated towards the very top of the page, so that it is easily visible and therefore establishes to the readers immediately the purpose of the page. Beneath this, towards the left hand side of the page, I have decided to place my editors note - a small paragraph welcoming the readers to the magazine and explaining the themes for the issue. Here, a picture of myself as the editor will also be located.
Most of the rest of the page will then be taken up by a list of contents, including their page numbers. I aim to separate this list into features appearing only for the month, regular features and page numbers for those items listed within the cover lines on the front cover of the magazine. Within this contents list, as well as page numbers, I shall also put the page titles and a small description of the content on each of these places. In the bottom, right-hand corner I will place a picture, preferably one relating to the artist that will feature on my front cover, and on my double page spread. A page number that corresponds with this particular image will also be situated here.
